Atelier Profane is inspired by a love of haunted baroque churches and Victorian graveyards.

Solidified as a brand in 2023, Atelier Profane is a return to the practice of slow, intentional clothing creation. The brand has grown from a side project of simple jewelry making, to a celebration of life, death, and the darkness that dwells within. We believe in making clothing that makes you feel elegant, mysterious-and maybe just a little bit cursed. Custom and one of a kind pieces are the lifeblood of the atelier, so though our drops may be infrequent, you can be sure to always see something new and original.

Mourning and the celebration of death is a central ethos to our designs, but we absolutely do not promote the killing of animals for any of our pieces. All bones are sourced from natural death, and never from endangered species.

Atelier Profane was created by Clary McCory, who continues to be the only creator and designer behind the brand. She dwells in the deep forest with two cats, and many ghosts.
